The Role :

Job Responsibilities :

  • Leads change programme in line with agreed ITC strategy and Technology Road Map
  • Develops cyber security posture and culture
  • Develops ISMS to ensure that policy, processes and procedures are in place, adhered to and consistent to best practices of ISO 27001
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Manages both national and international staff to ensure a positive and energetic work culture.
  • Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
  • Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
  • Coaches and counsels employees.
  • Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment.
  • Develops personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains organisation's effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organisation goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data centre.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Champions continuous improvement programmes, jointly developing strategies and incentives to enhance performance.
  • Negotiates and resolves contractual issues, including failure to meet contractual obligations. Promotes change control processes and leads variation negotiations when necessary
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organisation outcomes.
  • Identifies problems.
  • Evaluates trends.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Essential Skills / Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a computer, or related, field
  • Fifteen or more years of IT work experience
  • Leading a big team
  • Being a change agent / force for change
  • International assignment or extended time working overseas
  • Optional product or system certification
  • Must have good spoken and written English; French or Arabic is a plus.
