Thisrole is responsible for the execution of our growth agenda with a specificfocus on Animal Nutrition with the initial core focus on Algeria, to includeother countries in West Sub SaharanAfrica over time.
In alignment with our business strategy, the Technical SalesManager will focus mainly on the growth of our poultry business and to someextent ruminant business as dairy with new and existing customers through salesof premixes, additives ranges and nutritional solutions.
As such, the roleserves and develops the existing business with our current customers but alsotakes an active role in sourcing new business prospects.
Additionally, the roleis responsible for developing and executing the short- / medium-term sales plan inalignment with the regional Commercial Lead.
Frequent travel is a requirementof this position.
Major tasks :
Growth agenda through existingcustomers (60%)
Building,developing, and maintaining internal / external customer relationships the roleis to be the trusted advisor and partner of choice to the customer and fullyown the customer relationship;
Create andfollow sales plans for each existing customer, based on customer segmentation,customer needs and our growth targets by creating and delivering distinctivevalue solutions aimed at continuous margin improvement and growth;
Providefirst-line technical support, shaping the role of trusted advisor in the regionfor the allocated customers;
Respondand grow our existing customers through collaboration and support of ourtechnical and nutritional departments support.
Growth agendathrough new customers (35 %)
Create salesplans to acquire new customers and increase our market share, based on customersegmentation, customer needs and our growth targets.
Responsible foraccurate and timely forecasting, weekly sales volumes / gross margin reporting,customer visit reports, monthly business development reviews, etc.
Bachelor or Universitydegree in Animal Science or related scientific field;
At least 5 years’ hands-onexperience within a matrix organization, ideally in a competitive productionenvironment with focus on animal nutrition (feed, premix or additives),alternatively in animal health or a genetic environment;
Commercial mindsetand skilled in negotiation and closing, presenting and reporting;
Demonstratedtechnical support to customers;
Demonstrated trackrecord to deliver business growth in premix / nutritional solutions or additivesat new and existing customers;
Proven understandingof local market dynamics;
Excellentcommunication skills in Arabic and French, both spoken and written; English isimportant for internal communication purposes;
Entrepreneurialself-starter and team player;
Able to prioritizeand work against tight deadlines.
