The British School Algiers, the first British international school in Algeria, opens in October 2020. Approval to establish the school was granted under a joint agreement between the Algerian and British governments signed in March this year.
This co-educational day school is for 4 to 18-year-olds and, in our first year of operation, we will be recruiting students for Years 1 to 10.
Our students will be British, Algerian and from all over the world. The school will offer the Cambridge international school curriculum.
Religious Education will not be taught.
Candidates must hold a B.Ed. or Degree plus Postgraduate teaching qualification or equivalent. Candidates must have recent experience of teaching Primary School age children in the UK or a British international school.
The British School Algiers is seeking teachers with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively, building strong relationships with all members of the school community.
The successful appointees must be ready to play their part in establishing the ethos of this new school. This exciting new venture will require energetic and highly committed teachers who can motivate and inspire students to reach their maximum potential.
