Department Description

We have a current opportunity for a Telecommunications Project Management role within the Services Organisation based out of the Algiers office in Algeria.

Overview of Role :

This is a customer facing role so the ability to engage, communicate and deliver on our commitments is essential

  • Manage the development and / or implementation of project solutions and services to our customers by coordinating departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new, upgraded or existing Motorola Solutions products or services to customers
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics.
  • Job Description

    As Telecommunications Project Manager your main responsibilities include :

  • Manage all aspects of project delivery from contract signature through to final acceptance (typically $1M $40M) includingMaintenance of project correspondence, progress reports and documentation controlPrepare and manage the project implementation schedule to ensure milestones and deadlines are achievedDay to day management of project logistics, activities and resourcesManagement of Motorola subcontractorsSystem integration managementProject budget / financial managementChange order and risk managementProject quality managementPrimary interface with customer / user / stakeholders.
  • Prepare project contracts and participate in contract negotiationsStakeholder Management

  • Coordinating, leading and directing project team whilst contributing as necessary
  • Define and develop project scope, objectives, detailed plans, budgets and metrics for large projects and / or portions of complex projects
  • Own project deployment strategy and results
  • Develop forecasts and proposes responses to variances and trends with the project
  • Primary interface with customer / 3rd party / stakeholders
  • Deliver demanding project propositions and solutions to tight deadlines by : Managing and documenting changePursuing contract variations, when appropriateBeing a front line participant in contract negotiations
  • Basic Requirements

    Requirements towards a Telecommunications Project Manager :

  • Degree, BA / BSc or equivalent in technical, business or managerial field
  • Excellent English and French written and verbal skills
  • Project management certification ( PMP / PRINCE 2 ) and Information Technology ( ITIL ) or equivalent qualifications
  • Previous project management / leadership experience of medium to large scale telecommunication / IT projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills
  • Government / Defense Industry experience an advantage.
  • Strong results orientated individual
  • Ability to break down barriers and generate win / win scenarios
  • Acute commercial awareness, business acumen and proven track record of executing intercompany / organization agreements
  • Strong ownership, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate within territory as project needs dictate
